Citizens Board

Momentum2: The Breakthrough Campaign for the University of Miami

The University of Miami Citizens Board provides an avenue for community leaders and businesses to enrich UM’s educational mission through their philanthropy, unique insights, and experiences.

Composed of more than 300 members (many of whom are not University alumni), the organization shares the University’s vision of academic excellence, civic engagement and community service, inviting like-minded leaders to become active, contributing members of the board.

Since its inception in 1946, the Citizens Board has raised more than $369 million to help meet UM’s greatest needs. Through its Select Projects Fund, the organization supports diverse programs throughout the University’s 12 schools and colleges; many of these grants are made on a multi-year basis. The group also recently launched CB Connects U, designed to find ways for the University of Miami and the South Florida corporate community to support each other’s activities and efforts.
