Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music Campaign Chair

David Weaver is chairman and chief executive officer of Intercap Energy Systems, LLC, a technology company that provides energy-conserving services and resources including artificial intelligence software.

Weaver’s community involvement includes serving as chairman of the University of California’s Institute of the Americas and as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He previously served on the board of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), served as assistant manager of the City of Miami in charge of developing the Rouse Company’s Bayside Center, and led the community’s successful effort with the U.S. government to keep Homestead Air Force Base open after Hurricane Andrew.

At the University of Miami, Weaver has been a trustee for 28 years. Now a senior trustee, he has served as vice chairman of the Board of Trustees, chaired the University’s Finance Committee for six years, and co-chaired the highly successful Campaign for the University of Miami, which was launched in 1984 and helped to raise $517.5 million.

In addition to the recent generous commitment by Weaver and his wife, Dorothy, to the Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music, David Weaver’s support of the University of Miami includes the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, the Launch Pad, and the President’s Initiatives Fund.
