Paul J. DiMare

Paul J. DiMare is the president of DiMare Brothers, Inc., and DiMare Homestead, Inc., an organization of growers, packers, and shippers of whole fresh fruits and vegetables. An active community leader, he serves as a director of the Red Cross of Greater Miami and The Keys; Community Partnership for Homeless (now Chapman Partnership); the Miami Science Museum; Camillus House; and The Buoniconti Fund.

DiMare also serves on the boards of the 1st National Bank of South Florida and the South Shore Hospital Charitable Foundation in Massachusetts. He is the chairman of Florida Farmers, Inc., and serves as a trustee of The Paul J. DiMare Foundation and the Jackson Memorial Foundation.

The parent of a University of Miami alumnus, DiMare is a member of the University’s Board of Trustees and the School of Education and Human Development’s Visiting Committee. In addition to his campaign leadership role at the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, DiMare and his wife, Swanee, are vice chairs of the Momentum2 campaign. The couple’s generous support for the University includes gifts to Athletics, The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, the School of Education and Human Development, the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, and the Frost School of Music. The DiMare Champions Plaza at UM’s Alex Rodriguez Park is named in recognition of the family’s generosity.
