Campaign Vice Chairs

From their careers to their generous philanthropy, Eddie and Joanne Dauer are champions of high-quality health care and outstanding education. Eddie is a respected physician, a three-time UM alumnus, and a second-generation University trustee. He is a faculty member in UM’s Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Joanne is a registered nurse and clinical instructor at the School of Nursing and Health Studies. Both Eddie and Joanne are members of Iron Arrow.

Four of the Dauers’ six children are ’Canes, and three plan to join their parents in health care careers. Eddie and Joanne have made generous gifts to academic and student life programs, facilities, and scholarships throughout the University. Dauer Tower and Dauer Drive on the Coral Gables campus reflect the generosity of Eddie’s parents, the late Reva and Maxwell Dauer, as well as that of Eddie and Joanne.
